  While Michael Kautz Flooring Designs may have installers competent to install carpeting, our experience with their installation of high quality laminate in the residence of a disabled adult has been disastrous. Similar to another consumer's comment in connection with laminate flooring, when the job requires precision or attention to detail they fall short. So much so, that when the Michael Kautz staff failed to return calls for remediation of the problems, I contacted the Alloc Flooring manufacturer's warranty representative directly to receive a copy of their report and it was then that I learned the reason for Michael Kautz's silence: Their improper installation of the floor VOIDED THE PRODUCT WARRANTY. We are considering all avenues available to resolve this problem including bringing this matter before the Ward's judge in the probate court for disabled adults.
